About SLPBA
Southern Large Pack Beagle Association (SLPBA) is the governing organization for AKC Large Pack field trials throughout the Southern United States. For more than five decades, the Association has united member clubs dedicated to preserving the traditions of Large Pack beagling while promoting fair competition, sportsmanship, and the responsible advancement of the sport.
Through licensed field trials, championship events, youth programs, and educational initiatives, the SLPBA continues to support the clubs, volunteers, judges, handlers, and hounds that define Large Pack beagling across the South.

Our Mission
The mission of the Southern Large Pack Beagle Association is to preserve, promote, and strengthen AKC Large Pack beagling by:
• Supporting our member clubs
• Conducting fair and competitive licensed field trials
• Upholding the highest standards of judging and sportsmanship
• Encouraging youth participation and education
• Preserving the traditions and integrity of the sport for future generations
What We Do
The SLPBA serves as the coordinating association for member clubs throughout the Southern region by:
Sanctioning and coordinating AKC licensed Large Pack field trials
Hosting the Southern Large Pack Championship
Maintaining annual trial schedules
Recognizing outstanding hounds through Hound of the Year competition
Supporting youth programs and future sportsmen
Providing educational resources for judges, handlers, and clubs
Promoting ethical competition and responsible sportsmanship
